Ana Krelling joined CISESS in 2025, and currently she works with Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) datasets ingestion into the National Centers for Environmental Information archive. She brings over 10 years of experience in Physical Oceanography, having worked in academia as well as the private sector. In academia, she worked as a physical oceanography professor, during which she acquired experience teaching various courses. After her time in academia, she turned to work as a data engineer, where she worked with IOOS data management and ingestion from multiple sources. She earned her joint Ph.D. in Marine Science and Technology from University of Massachusetts (USA), and in Oceanography from University of Sao Paulo (Brazil), and holds a Master’s degree in Ocean Engineering by University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and a B.A. in Oceanography from Federal University of Para (Brazil).
