James Beauchamp

James Beauchamp has worked as a Faculty Research Assistant and now as a Faculty Specialist for ESSIC/CICS at the University of Maryland since 2000.  He supports research in tropical ocean modeling and analysis, generates microwave  brightness temperature Climate Data Records (CDRs), and most recently works with subsurface ocean data with NOAA’s NCEI. Before coming to the University of Maryland, he was a contractor at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He has a B.A. in environmental science from the University of Virginia and an M.S. in meteorology from The Pennsylvania State University. He grew up in Falls Church, VA and still resides in Virginia with his wife, Germana.
