Sophia Hu (she/her) is an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland majoring in mathematics with a concentration in statistics and computer science. She is currently working with Dr.Grassotti and his team on the Microwave Integrated Retrieval System(MiRS) and developing an interactive visualization tool based on real-time queries for hurricane satellite measurements. Her research interests include data mining, machine learning, predictive modeling, and data visualization.
