CICS-MD Staff Promotions

On September 7, the University of Maryland College of Computer, Mathematical & Natural Sciences, which oversees ESSIC and CICS, announced the promotion of 66 professional-track faculty. Sixteen of these promotions were earned by CICS-MD staff.
Xiaolei Zou was promoted to Research Professor. Three members were promoted to Associate Research Professor: Melissa Kenney, Ariana Sutton-Grier and Tim Canty. Michael Gerst was promoted to Assistant Research Professor.
Four CICS-MD staff members were promoted to Associate Research Scientists: Yong Chen, Liqing Jiang, Xiaozhen (Shawn) Xiong, and Hu (Tiger) Yang.
Seven of our staff were promoted to Assistant Research Scientists: Alejandro Egido, Min Huang, Lin Lin, Zhengkun Qin, Nai-Yu Wang, Zhankun Wang, and Zhuo Wang.
James Gurka was promoted from Faculty Assistant to Faculty Specialist.
