The UMD Cooperative Institute for Satellite Earth System Studies (CISESS) offers paid summer internships mentored by our scientists to work on NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) projects. We have a large range of topics including climate studies, satellite data assimilation, artificial intelligence, 3D visualization of meteorology maps, and more. See what our students did last year at our website: https://cisess.umd.edu/outreach/students-page/.
We are located in the UMD Discovery District across the street from the NOAA Center for Weather and Climate Prediction. Interns receive payment for 12 weeks working 20 hours per week. Please email your resume by April 15 to Deb Baker, CISESS Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will receive formal notification of your internship no earlier than May 1.
