Huan Meng
Huan Meng is a Physical Scientist with the Satellite Climate Studies Branch of NOAA/NESDIS/STAR and a Visiting Associate Research Scientist at ESSIC/CICS-MD. She received her M.S. degree in Physical Oceanography from Florida State University in Tallahassee and her Ph.D. degree in Hydrology from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. She is currently a Physical Scientist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), College Park, MD. Her research interest is in satellite passive microwave remote sensing with a focus on both developing operational data products and climate data record. In 2014, Meng received a NOAA Bronze Medal (as part of a group award with L. Zhao, B. Yan and S. Kusselson, all of NOAA OSPO) for the development of NOAA's first satellite based operational snowfall product, now being utilized by NWS NCEP.
