Joanne Hall
Joanne Hall received an M.S. degree in Environmental Geoscience from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom, an M.S. degree in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and a Ph.D. in Geographical Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park where she is currently an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Geographical Sciences. Her research focuses on improving the methods and techniques used for satellite mapping of land cover and land-use change, particularly those related to active fires and burned area.
