Peter Beierle received a B.S. degree in Physics and Mathematics from Stony Brook University in 2011 and a PhD. degree in Physics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2017. His PhD research was in atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics, particularly experimental investigations of the quantum to classical transition of electron matter-waves. He currently works in collaboration with NOAA’s CrIS Sensor Data Record team where he works on calibration and validation of the JPSS CrIS instruments, and is also assisting in the preparations of the newest instrument to be launched on the J2 Satellite.
