Xinrong Ren

Xinrong Ren received his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Sciences from the Peking University, Beijing, China in 2001. His research interests include atmospheric chemistry, air pollution, climate change, field monitoring of atmospheric pollutants, and model simulation of atmospheric photochemical processes. He is currently a Senior Research Scientist with Department of Atmospheric Oceanic Science and Cooperative Institute for Climate and Satellites and (AOSC/CICS) at University of Maryland. His current work focuses on aircraft observations of regional air quality and greenhouse gases and monitoring atmospheric mercury. He has published about 60 peer review papers and served as a principle investigator for research projects sponsored by federal (NSF, NASA, NOAA and NIST) and state (Texas and Maryland) agencies.
