The Center for Coasts, Oceans, and Geophysics (CCOG), as part of the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI), provides rigorous data archive, user-friendly distribution, and value-added data development services for NOAA satellite oceanographic data and products. This project aims to ensure these products from the NOAA/NESDIS satellite missions (for instance, JPSS1, S-NPP, Jason-3, SCATSAT, MetOp-C, etc.) are realized in effective scientific data stewardship along with development of scientifically value-added products (e.g. Pathfinder SST, CoRTAD, Ocean surface wind, etc.), thereby, enhancing the usefulness and deepening the understanding of the NOAA satellite oceanographic data for the long-term applications.
