Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith received his B.S. and M.S. in Atmospheric & Oceanic Science from the University of Maryland. After starting his career in NOAA's National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS): Systems Architecture & Engineering (SAE) Branch, Chris is excited to be back with UMD to support NCWCP. As the GOES-R Satellite Liaison, Chris will help to infuse satellite data and products into NWS/OPC & WPC operations to continue improving forecast and warning services to the nation. In Chris' free time, Chris enjoys going skiing and heading to the beach. Go Terps!
