Jing Wei

Jing Wei received his Ph.D. in Global Environmental Change from Beijing Normal University in 2021, through a joint study with the University of Maryland, College Park, in Atmospheric Science. He is currently an Assistant Research Scientist with ESSIC/CISESS, specializing in air quality, with a focus on aerosols, particulate matter, chemical composition, and trace gases (both polluted and greenhouse gases). His research leverages satellite remote sensing, big data, and artificial intelligence (machine and deep learning) to assess the impacts of air pollution and extreme weather on the environment, health, and climate.
