The overall goal of this project consists of upgrading the current Global Multisensor Automated Snow and Ice (GMASI) mapping system, incorporating data from several additional satellite sensors, testing the system and implementing it into operations at NESDIS. The particular objectives for the third year of the project implementation is the final testing of the upgraded system, transfer of the code and of the final ATBD to the algorithm implementation team ASSIST, preparation of other support documents and conducting final reviews as specified by the STAR EPL process.
